Lower Stondon lad Sam Beckwith has been with the Hatters since joining the academy at under-8 level. He penned his first professional contract in October 2019, soon into the second year of his scholarship after impressing during the pre-season campaign spent largely with the senior squad, including travelling to Portugal for a training camp. He was named the club's Young Player of the Year for 2019-20, a campaign in which he captained the Under-18s and spent time on loan at Biggleswade Town.
