Luton-born former Tottenham, Brentford and Torquay goalkeeper Dearden joined the Town's coaching staff in December 2014.

After hanging up his gloves, he took over the goalkeeper coach position at Leyton Orient in 2008 before leaving to join the Town under former manager John Still.

The 49-year-old has continued his excellent work with some top young keepers since Nathan Jones' arrival, helping develop Craig King as well as loanees including England U21 goalie Christian Walton and Arsenal’s Matt Macey, before Marek Stech, James Shea and Harry Isted arrived in the summer of 2017 to help the club to back-to-back promotions from League Two to the Championship.
