We can confirm that John McAtee has joined League One side Barnsley on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old forward was signed last summer from Grimsby Town after helping the Mariners secure promotion from the National League.
McAtee immediately returned to Brundell Park on loan and made 31 appearances last season, helping Grimsby reach the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final.
Our number 21 will look to push on against League One opposition at Barnsley, after getting a goal and an assist in our behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly against Peterborough United last month.
