Luton Town travel south to visit relegation-threatened Reading on Wednesday night in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Hatters will go to the Select Car Leasing Stadium with a ten-game unbeaten streak after Saturday’s win at Rotherham, while Reading boosted their survival chances with a draw against promoted Burnley on the weekend.

Rob Edwards said:

“They had a fantastic performance and result on the weekend against Burnley. The crowd and everyone seemed really with it and it’s like everyone’s pulled together in the same direction.

“They’ll get a lot of belief from that result and performance so I’m sure it’s going to be very similar again. They’ll want to build on that.

“It will be a really tough game. They’ve got some pace in the team, especially in the wider areas, and a mixture of experience and some youthfulness as well.”

The opposition:

Reading currently sit in the relegation zone following a recent six-point deduction. However, they are only within the bottom three on goal difference.

The Royals recently sacked manager Paul Ince and appointed former player Noel Hunt on an interim basis; his first game in charge was the goalless draw against table-topping Burnley.

19-year-old striker Kelvin Ehibhationham made his mark in Ince’s last game, scoring off the bench in the late defeat at Preston, before playing for over an hour against Burnley.

Another Royal youngster, Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei joined on loan from Chelsea in January and has made himself a staple of the Reading midfield in recent weeks.

Last time we met:

The Hatters and Reading shared the points in a goalless draw at Kenilworth Road back in November.
