We are pleased to announce that forward Josh Neufville has led a host of our bright young prospects in finalising their new development contracts in recent days.

Following in the footsteps of Corey Panter, who signed his before heading north to start pre-season with Dundee last month, 20-year-old Josh was all smiles as he put pen to paper while in at The Brache to continue his rehabilitation from ankle surgery.

The pacey attacker, who joined the Hatters’ academy at under-10, spent six months of the past season on loan with Yeovil Town after initially joining in December, following previous loan spells with Solihull Moors and Woking.

Neufville was an instant hit and his stay at Huish Park was extended for the remainder of the season. He scored five times in 31 appearances during his time in Somerset, before he suffered a fracture in the Glovers’ penultimate National League fixture at Altrincham.

As well as Josh and Corey, the contract of midfielder Sam Beckwith – currently at the first-team training camp in Yorkshire – has been extended with the Club taking up an option on the 19-year-old.

Fellow Academy products, defender Avan Jones and midfielder Jake Peck have also signed new professional development contracts, along with attacker TQ Addy, who arrived last year from Crystal Palace.

All of last season’s second-year scholars to be offered professional development contracts – youth team captain Casey Pettit, fellow midfielder Callum Nicolson, forward Tra Lucas and goalkeeper Jameson Horlick, who is also currently away with the senior squad – have also put pen to paper, whilst defender Matt Moloney and midfielder Ben Stevens have been awarded third year scholarship contracts.

Well done to all the boys, we look forward to seeing each of them continue their development at Kenilworth Road.
