The coronavirus lockdown looks set to continue for the foreseeable future so we’ve been looking at how we can help support the local community in other ways.
Members of staff have been calling some of our elderly or most vulnerable supporters over the last few weeks to have a chat and make sure that they are keeping well during the lockdown. Here's just one of the many tweet's we've seen in response to the scheme:
Now, thanks to our dynamic Catering department and with help from Community Support Volunteers, we’re delighted to be able to offer you a brand-new food delivery service “Hungry Hatters Moveable Feasts”. This is a not-for-profit initiative with prices are either comparable or slightly higher than national supermarkets.
The scheme couldn’t be easier to use, and is open to key-workers, the elderly and most-vulnerable people living within an eight-mile radius of Kenilworth Road.*
Here’s how it works:
- Chose a combination of packs below that you wish to purchase – you can order any combination of packs, with a maximum of any two individual packs per order.
- Call our catering manager to pay for your order. The line will be open between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. 07985294191.
- A collection option will be available between 12pm – 4.30pm. Collection orders must be placed 24h before collection. Social distancing measures will be in place to protect you and our staff. Collection Point: Kenilworth Apron, Kenilworth Road, LU1 1DH
- Deliveries will be available to the elderly, vulnerable or to ‘key workers’ the following day between the hours of 12noon and 6pm at a cost of £5.
- If you are not vulnerable, or a key worker – please arrange to collect your order. If that is not possible, deliveries may be available with a donation of £15 to the Club.
- Alcohol orders for the over 18s only – proof of ID required will be required
- A delivery charge will be payable by way of a minimum donation of £5, which will be added to the order.
