Hatters boss Graeme Jones has made three changes to the side that lost to Derby County before the international break for this afternoon’s visit of Bristol City.

James Shea – who recently signed a new contract with the Hatters – makes his first league start of the season as Simon Sluga drops to the bench.

Martin Cranie returns to the team for the first time since defeat against Sheffield Wednesday in August and Izzy Brown is back in the starting line-up, after coming off the bench against the Rams.

Top goalscorer James Collins starts after making two appearances for Republic of Ireland during the international break.

Town play their first of three games within the space of a week, knowing a victory could see them climb as high as 15th in the Championship table.

There will be a minute's applause in memory of Fred Jardine ahead of kick-off.

TOWN: Shea, Bree, Pearson, Bradley, Potts, Cranie, Tunnicliffe, Mpanzu, Brown, Cornick, Collins. Subs: McManaman, Shinnie, Sluga, Bolton, LuaLua, Jones, Butterfield
