Hatters trio James Collins, Luke Bolton and Simon Sluga have all now completed their international duty with their countries for the October break.

Striker Collins made his first start for Mick McCarthy’s Republic of Ireland side as they drew 0-0 with Georgia, before picking up his third cap last night in the defeat against Switzerland, starting up front alongside former Hatters loanee Aaron Connolly.

Luke Bolton was named in the XI for England Under-20s last week as they drew 2-2 with Italy at Parma’s Ennio Tardini Stadium, before coming on as a sub in the 75th minute in their 3-0 defeat to Czech Republic at Peterborough United on Monday night.

Simon Sluga’s Croatia defeated Hungary, but were held to a draw against Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday, with the goalkeeper remaining on the bench for both of those fixtures.
