The Hatters play their third game in a week as Graeme Jones’ side face Birmingham City at St Andrew’s tomorrow afternoon.
After narrowly losing against Fulham in a five-goal thriller on Wednesday night, Town are hopeful of getting back to winning ways versus 11th place Birmingham.
Prior to defeat at Craven Cottage, the Hatters beat Bristol City 3-0 at Kenilworth Road on Saturday to claim their fourth Championship win of the season.
Hosts Birmingham have won their last two home games, victorious against Middlesbrough and most recently Blackburn on Tuesday night.

On playing games in quick succession: “There’s only us and Charlton that are going to play two away games on the trot in 60 hours, when the opposition have played on a Tuesday night, so little Luton and little Charlton aren’t getting treated very fairly. We will recover and we will be competitive I can assure you, we will be going there to win.”
“I need to assess physical stats, I need to assess the tactical aspect of Birmingham. I know Birmingham play 4-4-2 but not in detail, that starts now.”
On Izzy Brown: “I’m delighted he wasn’t injured. He got a really, really bad challenge against him so hopefully he’s okay. But again, Izzy in that position, it suits him, he’s effective. We mixed it up a little bit with him and James in the first half, but his contribution, off the ball as well, I think he’s benefitted from playing in a midfield three because he had to take that responsibility on board and now he’s a number ten it’s a bit easier.
“He’s never let the side down once off the ball, on the ball Izzy Brown is a Premier League player so I’m delighted to have him, delighted to have him in the form that he is in.”
WHO?
Relegated from the Premier League in 2011 after two seasons in the top flight, Birmingham have been in the Championship ever since. The Blues however, did win the Carling Cup final during that campaign. They won 2-1 against favourites Arsenal at Wembley Stadium, their second League Cup victory after they defeated main rivals Aston Villa back in 1963.

MAN IN THE MIDDLE?
The referee for Saturday’s game is Dean Whitestone. He has taken charge of nine games this season – seven in the Championship – and has dished out 27 yellow cards.

The ticket office has advised that 2,600 tickets have been sold for the away trip to St Andrew’s, with tickets available to purchase until 1pm. Tickets will NOT be available to buy on the day.
PLAYED BEFORE?
Birmingham hosted the last meeting back in 2006 as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw. Luton are unbeaten in their last two matches against the Blues, however Birmingham hold the superior head-to-head record, with 28 wins compared to Town’s 12. With 19 draws shared between the two teams, this meeting will be the 60th in total.
