We are delighted to introduce one of Britain’s fastest growing energy brands, Utilita, to the Luton Town family as our home back of shirt sponsor until 2022.

The pay-as-you-go smart energy specialist have grown dramatically over the last four years, quadrupling their customer base to an impressive 750,000.

Utilita have always embraced innovation, installing Britain’s first ever smart meter back in 2008 as Luton Town were beginning their renaissance under the custodianship of 2020. Today, they boast the highest percentage of customers with smart meters in the industry, with over 90% enjoying the benefits of the real-time visibility and control of consumption that the meters provide.

Earlier this month Utilita garnered national coverage when it kick-started a rollout of innovative High Street Energy ‘hubs’ – giving energy advice and face-to-face customer service to communities across the UK.

The company have also firmly established themselves as a recognisable name in football since they first sponsored the Scottish League Cup in 2015-16. Since then they have partnered with a number of other Football League Clubs including our pre-season opponents Norwich City, and Championship clubs Derby County, Leeds United and Brentford among others.

Jem Maidment, Director of Marketing and Communications at Utilita, said: “We are delighted to become The Hatters’ home back-of-shirt sponsor for the next three seasons.

“Luton have been on an extraordinary journey over the past decade or so, from those dark days in 2008 to back-to-back promotions and now a new stadium on the horizon – the very least the club and its amazing fans deserve.

“On the eve of Luton’s return to the Championship under new manager Graeme Jones, I believe there is no better time for Utilita to begin what we hope will be a long and successful association with the club.”

Luton Town Commercial Manager, David Hoskins, welcomed Utilita, saying: “It’s great to have Utilita on board, and we’re looking forward to developing the relationship with Jem and his team in the coming seasons.”
