Mick Harford has delivered the following message to Hatters supporters after being confirmed as manager until the end of the season on his 60th birthday...
"First of all, I want to thank every single Luton Town supporter for the wonderful messages I've received on this special day. You have all been so kind - the best supporters in English football!
"I've received some fantastic gifts and a couple of outstanding cakes that have got the sports science boys shaking their heads in disapproval, but have gone down a treat with the lads!
"Thirdly, and most importantly, I can't explain what a privilege it is to be asked to carry on guiding this fantastic group of players through the remaining 15 games of this season.
"To a man, whether they have been playing, behind me on the bench or sitting in the stand injured, they have been magnificent for the past month and I am thrilled to be their manager.
"They have already written their names into the club's history books and we'll be doing everything in our power to keep doing you wonderful supporters proud for the next three months. Thank you all."
