Hatters midfielder Luke Berry spoke of his delight to be back involved on Saturday as he helped the Town to a 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic.
The 27-year-old was speaking ahead of tonight’s game against Stoke City, where he will hope to make his 70th appearance for the club.
On being back involved in the starting XI, he said: “I was delighted to be out on the grass again, it’s been a while since I lasted started a proper competitive game, that was against Leicester City, but for a league game that was my first this season. It’s really good to get back out there, I was really enjoying it, just running around and just having a good go.
“I had a little inkling [that I would be involved], but the manager doesn’t name the team until a couple of hours before the game, so I didn’t know officially. I always prepare – the last few months I’ve been preparing like I am playing, so it’s just the same sort of thing.
“Any position in midfield I am comfortable with, but I like to get forward and get goals, and try and get assists, so I feel free there that [at the point of the diamond] I can do that.”
