A little over a week ago, eight-year-old mascot Ethan Matthews helped inspire James Collins and the Hatters to victory over Wigan, boldly predicting the 2-1 winning scoreline before the game.
On Tuesday afternoon, brave Stotfold lad Ethan received a surprise visit at Keech Hospice from the man he walked out onto the Kenilworth Road pitch alongside, with Collo and Martin Cranie delivering some Christmas gifts!
In among those presents was James’ signed No.19 shirt from that game, on which he’d written: ‘To Ethan, thank you for helping us beat Wigan. You’re a superstar!”

At the same time, the rest of the Hatters squad were out visiting the children’s wards at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and Bedford Hospital, bringing Christmas cheer to poorly youngsters in the area.
We’d like to wish everyone in both hospitals a lovely Christmas, including the nurses and doctors who do such fantastic work not only at this time of year, but throughout.
