The Hatters could beat the third-tier record for the most games unbeaten in a single season should they avoid defeat against Blackpool at Kenilworth Road tomorrow afternoon.
Currently matching a club and league unbeaten run, the Hatters would make it 28 games in a single campaign should they pick up a point or more against Terry McPhillips' team.
Town hit top form in their last outing at home last time out, as they dismantled Doncaster Rovers in a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
Last Saturday's 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers helped maintain their seven-point gap at the top of Sky Bet League One and as it stands, four victories from their remaining six games would ensure the Hatters won promotion to the Championship.
Blackpool are a decent outfit though and need to put a decent run together if they want to secure a play-off place.
With just two wins in their last ten games, the Tangerines have lost a bit of the momentum they built up in the New Year, but their away form over the course of the campaign should not be ignored, having done well against the big teams on their own patches.
Tomorrow's game is the Hatters' Kick it Out game, where players will wear the charity's T-shirts, celebrating their 25th anniversary. As well as this there is a Family Fun Day, with lots of fun things going on from around 1pm!
MICK HARFORD SAYS:
On taking on Blackpool: "It's going to be tough, we know that. Blackpool have a good away record, they have beaten the likes of Portsmouth, drawn at Sunderland, so the away record is up there in the division.
"We will not take anyone lightly. They're a big, strong, physical team who can make it very difficult for you and they have got a lot of threats, so we will make our players aware of their strengths and weaknesses and we will take it from there. So if we can put in another performance like the last one, then we will be Ok. But we know it's going to be tough."
On his message to supporters: "They don't need any encouragement in fairness, they are absolutely magnificent in the way they support the team. It was great the noise they made down at Bristol Rovers, right next to our back four in the second half.
"They were encouraging them and I could hear them because they were behind me. I don't think the supporters need any encouragement to get behind the team. Again, they turn out in their numbers, I am sure it will be a full house and a raucous crowd on Saturday."
WHO?
The club's fall to League Two was dramatic, but their climb out of it at the first attempt under Gary Bowyer was impressive, although it isn't talked about too much in these parts. Bowyer oversaw a midtable finish last year, before stepping down early on this campaign. Terry McPhillips took over and has done a sterling job.
The Tangerines still have the play-offs in their sights, although a blip over Christmas may well have cost them in finishing in the top six.

Kick-off is at 3pm at Kenilworth Road on Saturday 6th April.

Tomorrow's game will be refereed by Lee Collins, who has overseen 21 games this season, dishing out 67 yellow cards and one red card.
