Grimsby Town are inviting all Hatters to get involved with their ‘Memories’ day when we visit Blundell Park for our Sky Bet League Two fixture on Saturday.

The Mariners are staging the event in conjunction with Sporting Memories – a charity that tackles dementia, depression and loneliness – and hope to welcome our former player Matt Tees, who appeared in Alan Shearer’s recent documentary on the subject of football and dementia.

Former Hatters and Grimsby player Matt Tees lives with dementia and has inspired the Mariners to hold a Memories match when the Hatters visit on January 27th

Grimsby would like any Hatters supporters travelling to the game to wear a retro shirt, or a shirt that holds special memories, as part of the day.

They would also like you to send a picture or video to them ahead of the game, with an explanation of what the memory is that the shirt represents for you, to GTFC supporters' liaison officer Kristine Green – kskorna@hotmail.co.uk – and they could appear on the scoreboard on the day.
