Hatters boss Nathan Jones has named his team to face AFC Wimbledon tonight at the Cherry Red Records Stadium in the Checkatrade Trophy Southern Group F.

Returning to the club he left in the summer before joining the Hatters is goalkeeper James Shea, who will have James Justin, Frankie Musonda, Akin Famewo and Jack Senior in front of him with holding midfielder Glen Rea – who will be suspended on Saturday in the FA Cup – the only player selected from Saturday’s starting XI against Coventry.

Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu, Lawson D’Ath, Luke Gambin and Andrew Shinnie, who made his return after five weeks out with an ankle injury as a late sub on Saturday, make up the midfield, with Elliot Lee up front on the ground where he scored on his initial Hatters loan debut in 2015.

There is also a first appearance on the bench for youth team midfielder Drew Richardson.

TOWN: Shea, Justin, Musonda, Famewo, Senior, Rea, Mpanzu, D’Ath, Shinnie, Gambin, E Lee. Subs: Potts, O Lee, Berry, Jarvis, Sheehan, Richardson, Isted (GK)

DONS: McDonnell, Oshilaja, Robinson ©, Meades, Sibbick, Kennedy, Abdou, Hartigan, Forrester, Taylor, McDonald. Subs: Tzanev (GK), Francomb, Barcham, Soares, Kaja, Egan, Kalambayi
