LUKE GAMBIN ON HIS PLAY-OFF HOPES

Gambin has thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Town so far

Town midfielder Luke Gambin said he is ready whenever he is called upon by manager Nathan Jones – and he is hoping that happens over the next two Sky Bet League Two play-off games against Blackpool.

Gambin was a part of the Barnet team that won promotion from the National League in 2015, and he thinks that there isn’t much difference in the mindset of that team to the current Town side.

The 24-year-old said: “I wouldn’t say the mentality is any different, but I would say the make-up of the season has been different. With Barnet we went up from the Conference, now I am at Luton we are challenging in the play-offs.

“It’s exciting and it’s a new experience for me. That’s why I joined Luton, to be a part of this and hopefully I can help the boys. We all have a part to play in the next couple of weeks.”

Gambin, who has moved up from south London to live in the area, says he is completely settled with the Town – and is really impressed with the new training facility at The Brache.

He explained: “I have really enjoyed it, I am fully settled in now. Obviously you want to play every game, but we have a great squad here and I trust the manager.

“When my name is called upon I will go into the side and do the best I can. Overall I am really enjoying it.

“We have just moved to the new training ground and it’s a brilliant, brilliant facility. I love it here.”
