SAFE JOURNEY TO SUNNY NEWPORT, HATTERS!

21 March 2017

No doubts currently about tonight's game at Rodney Parade

The Hatters head to south Wales tonight to take on Newport County and having been in contact with Exiles officials, we can inform Town fans that there are no current doubts about the game going ahead.

Our friends at Rodney Parade inform us that the sun is out and the skies are blue, and although there is some light rain forecast in the couple of hours leading up to the 7.45pm kick-off, it is not anticipated that it will be enough to put the match in danger.

Newport officials have given the following information for supporters heading to the game tonight, in order to ease traffic congestion with building works going on around Rodney Parade.

They advise: “For supporters travelling by private car, the use of Junction 25A from the M4 Motorway  will take them to the City Centre Car Parks (which are signposted). From here it is a short walk across the Millennium River Bridge to Gate 6 at the ground. This will avoid the building-works.

“The Coach station and Train Station are also a short walk from the ground, Rodney Parade is signposted from these areas.

“There is a dedicated away supporters’ bar facility at Rodney Parade with BT Sport, Sky Sports and Sky Sports News on TV screens within the away section of the ground.

“Tea, Coffee and Hot Food is also available from an outlet within the away end. The ground opens at 6.15pm.

“If fans are arriving in the City during the afternoon, The Lamb public house on Bridge Street in the City Centre is happy to accommodate away supporters.

“Again this pub is only a short walk to the ground across the Millennium Bridge. Details can be found at www.thelambnewport.com.”

So to all Town fans making the trip over the Severn Bridge, travel safely and we’ll see you down there for another big night in Nathan Jones’ team’s season!

Come On You Hatters!
