LAST CALL FOR CHARITY OF THE YEAR APPLICATIONS

Applications for 2017-18 partnerships close at midday today

11 July 2017

Sponsored by

Today is the final day for charities who wish to be considered for one of our official partnerships to submit their applications, with the process closing at midday.

Following on from the success of the last two seasons, we are now in the process of looking for three new charities to join us as official partners in 2017-18. Last season, we teamed up with Club charity of the year - Level Trust, supporters charity of the year - Autism Beds and the players charity of the year Brain Tumour Research. Over the course of the 2016-17 campaign we took part in many activities and initiatives with the aim of helping to raise awareness and funds for our partnering organisations.

If you work for a charity and would like to be considered, the application process is simple.

Firstly, click here to complete our form in as much detail as you feel necessary to demonstrate your organisations credentials as an excellent candidate. Applications close at midday today.

Shortly after the application deadline, members of the Club's charity committee will meet to discuss the applications and a shortlist will be drawn up for each of the following categories:

  1. Club Charity of the Year -
A shortlist is drawn up from applicants, and the successful organisation is then selected by the Club's charity committee. The charity will be the core focus of the Club's charity drive throughout the season. We will work with you, meeting regularly to plan fundraising and awareness campaigns, and to discuss other ways in which the partnership could help in your service provision. A fundraising target is set, and we work together on ways to engage with staff and supporters throughout the 2017-18 season.
  2. Supporters Charity of the Year
The remaining shortlisted charities are then put forward for the supporters to select their chosen charity via social media and our website. Luton Town supporters groups, individual supporters and the club's SLO will work with the charity to help fundraise and increase awareness throughout the season.
  3. Player's Charity of the Year
The remaining shortlisted charities are put forward for the players to chose their official charity partner. A representative from the squad will meet with the charity and discuss ways to help raise their profile through appearances and social media primarily.

We look forward to receiving your applications - best of luck!
