The target man joins the Hatters on loan from Leyton Orient

New loan signing Ollie Palmer spoke of his delight as he signed with the Town until the end of this season from Leyton Orient.

The former Mansfield and Grimsby striker notched five goals for the O’s this season, as he looks to add something different to what Nathan Jones currently has at his disposal.

The 25-year-old said: “I am obviously delighted to be here. In a club that’s fighting for promotion, it’s something you want to be a part of.

“It sounds like I have jumped ship a little bit, people will probably see it like that, but things have not quite worked out at Orient. Hopefully they will get themselves out of the position that they’re in.

“Now my main focus is to do what I can for Luton Town Football Club and give everything I have got.”

The forward is particularly excited about playing in front of the Kenilworth Road faithful, who he has played in front of when visiting with other clubs.

“It’s always been a passionate, vocal backing, so I am looking forward to meeting a few fans around the ground tonight, seeing what it’s really like taking it all in before I get going out there and being a part of the team and playing on the pitch,” he added.
