Midfielder goes back to Magpies at the end of his loan
We can confirm that Alex Gilliead has returned to parent club Newcastle United at the end of his loan spell with the Hatters.
The 20-year-old joined the Town on the last day of the August transfer window and scored two goals in 21 appearances during his time at Kenilworth Road.
Speaking after yesterday’s game at Accrington Stanley, Town boss Nathan Jones said: “Alex has gone back as his loan was up. He’s done very well for us and we thank him for a real good time. It was a pleasure to have him here.”
Everyone at Kenilworth Road would like to wish Alex every success in his future career and thank him for his efforts during his time with the club.
