Hatters boss Nathan Jones has selected a strong side for tonight’s second round Checkatrade Trophy tie against West Ham United Under-21s at Kenilworth Road.

There are three changes to the starting line-up from the team that won 2-1 at AFC Wimbledon in the final match of Southern Group F on October 31st, when Andrew Shinnie scored twice for the Town.

Jordan Cook comes in after missing that match through suspension, while Kavan Cotter comes into midfield after being recalled from his youth loan at Evo-Stik South side Hitchin Town in order to be involved tonight, and Aaron Jarvis is selected up front.

Teenage defender Frankie Musonda is captain of the side for tonight’s game.

If the scoreline is level after 90 minutes, the game will go to penalties straight away with the ABBA format applying, as was the case in our drawn group matches against Tottenham and Barnet, when the Town won bonus points with shoot-out victories.

TOWN: Shea, Justin, Musonda ©, Famewo, Senior, Mpanzu, Cotter, D’Ath, Gambin, Cook, Jarvis. Subs: Potts, O Lee, Rea, Berry, Read, E Lee, Isted (GK)

WEST HAM: Trott, Haksabanovic, Martinez, Quina, Pike, Samuelsen, Makasi (c), Powell, Akinola, Johnson, Coventry. Subs: Diangana, Hector-Ingram, Matrevics (GK), Scully, Lewis, Wells, Costa Da Rosa

REFEREE: Darren Drysdale
