Young Hatters midfielder Kavan Cotter has rejoined Non-League neighbours Hitchin Town on a one-month youth loan - after being recalled last Monday in time to play against West Ham U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy the following night.

The 18-year-old has made 24 appearances so far for the Evo-Stik South Premier side, but he saved his first goal of the campaign - and indeed the first of his professional career - for his return to the Hatters in the 4-0 second round win over the Hammers on Tuesday.

The teenager will continue to train with the Town on a daily basis at The Brache while gaining further senior experience with Mark Burke's Hertfordshire side into the New Year.

His new loan will run until 6th January, but he is able to play non first-team matches for the Hatters in this period.
