A MESSAGE FROM LEYTON ORIENT FANS’ TRUST

LOFT have sent this message to Hatters ahead of today's game

Before the game between the Hatters and Leyton Orient this afternoon, there will be bucket collections at the turnstiles for the Leyton Orient Fans’ Trust. Here our friends from East London write a message to Town fans that will also appear in the matchday programme…

We, the Leyton Orient Fans' Trust, are holding a bucket collection at turnstiles today, begging for help from Hatters fans as our beloved club lurches from crisis to crisis. Not only are we facing almost certain relegation from the Football League, we’re fighting for our very survival as a football club.

You will no doubt have seen recently that Orient's long serving staff and players have not been paid. We’ve already faced one winding-up petition in the courts, and the situation is getting steadily worse.
Our Regeneration Fund has been brilliantly supported by fans up and down the country and will be used to do exactly as the name suggests, in regenerating Leyton Orient Football Club.

We would like to place on record a massive debt of thanks to everyone at Luton Town Supporters' Trust, including the Committee, Chairman Tony Murray and SLO John Miller who have all gone well out of their way to support a fellow League Two club by helping facilitate today's collection before the game.

Across social media we have also seen some very kind comments from Hatters fans who know only too well what we are going through. We would like to thank every Luton Town supporter who makes a donation, however small, to our collection at Kenilworth Road today.

If anyone misses the opportunity to make a donation to our collection today, they can do so by visiting our website at savetheorient.com where we have details of how to make a contribution via bank transfer, PayPal or GoFundMe.

We would further like to thank Luton Town FC for the donation of a signed shirt, which will be auctioned online to raise more money for our desperate fight.

Good luck to both sides today and we hope you all enjoy the game.
