Players' letters feature in tomorrow's Grimsby programme

The Hatters squad are right behind the club’s planning applications for Power Court and Newlands Park – and several of them have already written their letters of support to send to Luton Borough Council.

In tomorrow’s matchday programme, Cameron McGeehan is one of six Town players to share their views, encouraging Town fans to do the same.

In his email, which you can read by clicking here, the 21-year-old midfielder writes: “As you would expect me to say I love the stadium right in the middle of town and love the designs and images. But I also think all the other facilities would be great for everyone, football supporters or not.

“We are all aiming for promotions this season and beyond and we are all wanting to progress in football. This new stadium could be a game-changer for us all – players and fans alike.”

To read the other letters, make sure you pick up a copy of Talk of the Town – featuring one of last Saturday’s goalscorers Jordan Cook on the cover (above) in the special green ‘GIVEN YOUR VIEWS YET?’ T-shirts the Town players wore to warm up in.

Then get writing to Development Control, Luton Borough Council, Luton, LU1 2BQ or email developmentcontrol@luton.gov.uk

Copy in your local MP and info@2020developments.co.uk and make sure you include your name, address and the planning application reference numbers: Power Court – 16/01400 and Newlands Park 16/01401.

State the reasons why you support both applications clearly. Remember one can’t happen without the other – and tell everyone you know to do the same!
