The Hatters ran out 3-1 winners at the Hive

Hatters youth team boss Paul Driver was pleased with the way his side responded as they ran out eventual winners in their first round FA Youth Cup tie against Barnet.

After going a goal down midway through the first-half, Town bounced back as George Murray netted a goal in both halves and Freddie Hinds scored in the last minute of normal time to seal the win.

Driver said: “This year we have gone behind a couple of league times in the league and always bounced back.

“I thought for the first 30 minutes we were a bit nervy, but once George got that first goal I thought for the last 15 minutes of the first half we did really well.

“We were a little bit slow getting going in the second half, but I thought we were excellent for the last hour.”
