The Hatters beat Morecambe 2-0 at the Globe Arena
Town boss Nathan Jones thought his side’s performance against Morecambe this afternoon was one of the best he’s seen since he began his managerial career.
Danny Hylton scored just after the 25-minute mark with a curling effort from just outside the box, before Isaac Vassell headed in from a yard out in the second half to ensure the victory.
The Hatters were dominant for long periods of the game and Jones couldn’t have been more pleased with Town’s performance.
He said: “I think it was a complete performance today if I am being honest. As good as I have had since I became a manger in terms of complete and I think were excellent.
“We defended fantastically well, we had a tireless work rate, we had a real cutting edge about us and the only thing that was lacking was a ruthless streak.
“Today we took it to them, we moved it quickly and I thought we were excellent. I can wax lyrical about a lot of stuff, but today was an outstanding away performance. I thought we were complete today.”
