Keech nurses deliver shirts to India
Four nurses from Keech Hospice Care along with ten other staff and supporters from the charity, recently completed a trek across the tough terrain of Kerala, South India. They undertook the challenge of a lifetime in memory of their patients, and to raise money for terminally ill adults and children. As part of the expedition, a group of young people in the Southern Indian state of Kerala were visited by the delegation at a school / care home for children with special needs. At the end of their visit, children from a local orphanage were presented with their very own Luton Town shirts. While they were there, the Keech team also undertook project work, painting and decorating the social area, staircase and dormitories.
The children were over-the-moon with their Luton Town gifts, and danced around shouting 'CHAMPIONS, CHAMPIONS' in their new shirts.
Our congratulations to the Keech team on their successful trek - you can find more about the expedition on the Keech Hospice website.
