ZANE COMMITS TO ANOTHER SEASON

One year deal also contains a further one year option

Hatters’ striker Zane Banton has today signed a new one year contract with the Club, a deal which also contains a further one year option if the 20 year old continues to impress Hatters’ boss Nathan Jones.

The Stevenage born Academy product made his debut for the Club in a 4-0 away win at Woking in September 2013 and has had to be patient in his attempts to win a regular place in the Hatters’ first team squad, but towards the end of last season under Nathan Jones’ careful guidance he was included in the matchday squad for 7 of the last 8 games of the season, coming off the bench on 4 occasions to impress both his Manager and Town fans. The quick-footed and determined frontman will be keen to build on that run by making his first league start for the Club in 2016-17.

Nathan Jones was delighted to add Zane to his squad for next season: ‘Zane is a hard-working young player and he caught my eye in training as soon as I arrived. I have always said that young players have to earn their place in my squad and Zane did exactly that last season. I am very pleased he has signed up for next season and if he continues to progress at the rate he did at the end of last season then he will get more opportunities to become a regular player here at Luton Town.’
