Boss wants first team coach's knowledge to help the Hatters

Town boss Nathan Jones is hoping first team coach Kevin Nugent can help plot Leyton Orient’s downfall on Saturday.

Nugent joined the Hatters in January having spent almost a decade at Brisbane Road as manager, coach and assistant.

And, ahead of the League 2 trip to East London, Jones says the Town will try to use Nugent’s knowledge of his former club.

“Kev's got a bit of inside info, if you like,” the boss said at his Thursday press call. “He’s worked with their players so he should know enough about Leyton Orient that we won't get any surprises.

“However, that can only take you so far and Kev has been brought in because I respect him, he's a good coach. I know him very well, I can trust him plus he knows the level so I get that every week from Kev.

“It's going to be a difficult game regardless of how much you know what they're going to do. It's individual against individual, team against team, but we're looking forward to it, I must emphasise that.”
