Manager delight as Town reward support with three points

Nathan Jones hailed the Hatters hordes after they roared his side to victory at Brisbane Road on Saturday.

Over 1,400 Town supporters witnessed the Town’s fourth win in five League 2 games to move them three points behind the final Play-Off place.

“It was a great following – outstanding,” Jones said afterwards. “They out-sung Orient. What I heard from Orient was second fiddle to what we had.

“It was a fantastic away performance but a big mention to the crowd because they sang constantly and we’re really pleased to give them the three points.”

After the final whistle Jones led the celebrations in front of the away end, thumping his chest.

“The fans are filling me with that kind of desire and that kind of passion,” he said.

“I want to give them something – I said to them I want to give them a team they can be proud of.

“Every single one of our players gave them something to get behind. That’ll be a wonderful journey back to Bedfordshire for them.”
