Club Charity of the year to benefit from our match with Cambridge
Asides from the arrival of our new manager, this Saturday’s match has an extra significance as we look forward to welcoming our Club charity of the year CHUMS to Kenilworth Road for their special match.
Back in October, we announced that shirt sponsors Barnfield College had generously offered to surrender their logo on the shirt – allowing CHUMS to take pride of place on chest of the players. The idea behind this initiative is to help raise awareness of the Charity as much as possible – and help spread the word about the valuable work they do. So, this Saturday the team will run out in their very special CHUMS logo shirts.
We’re also looking to try and raise as much money as possible for CHUMS on Saturday, through bucket collections at the ground, followed by a silent auction of the signed, match-worn – emblazoned with the CHUMS logo. Hatters supporters have continually shown their generosity over the years, helping us to raise tens of thousands of pounds for good causes each season. We’re sure Saturday will be no different.
To get things underway, we asked new manager Nathan Jones to sign the very special, one off named and numbered shirt he was holding for photographs at Friday’s press conference. We’re auctioning this unique shirt over on our Ebay shop now, with bids closing on Saturday – so get bidding and help us get the fundraising off to a flying start!
