Cherries test in League Cup semi on Saturday

The Town Under-18s are aiming to reach the area final of the Youth Alliance League Cup when they take on AFC Bournemouth on Saturday morning.

Paul Driver’s side secured the Youth Alliance South East title on Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Stevenage and the Town youngsters can take another step towards a potential league and cup double against the Cherries.

Bournemouth lie third in the South West section and the semi-final tie takes place at 11.30 at the Cherries’ training ground.

The winners will meet either Cheltenham or Swindon in South section final. The winners of that will then go forward to the National Youth Alliance Cup final against the victors from the Northern section.

We’ll have a report and reaction from the game so remember to check out on Saturday afternoon. Good luck boys!
