Hatters to check on doubtful trio
Town boss Nathan Jones says he will assess the fitness of trio Mark Tyler, Danny Green and Ryan Hall on Friday ahead of Saturday’s game at Mansfield.
Tyler and Green were substituted in the first 20 minutes of the manager’s first game in charge last weekend against Cambridge.
Goalkeeper Tyler lasted just eight minutes after suffering a back spasm before he was replaced with Elliot Justham, while winger Green was stretched off with an ankle injury after the 20-minute mark.
Hall was also substituted in the second half with a foot problem as the Town were held to a goalless draw at Kenilworth Road.
“It wasn’t what we’d planned for,” said Jones at his pre-match press call on Thursday. “I like to use substitutions but we were forced into making three.
“We’ll assess Mark, Danny and Ryan on Friday before making a decision but we’ve got a large squad so there’s plenty of choice.
“Everyone else is fit and in contention for a place in the squad and once we know more we’ll make a decision and go from there on Friday.”
