Hatters youth team back on track
The Town Under-18s bounced back from their first defeat of the season by returning to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at Leyton Orient on Saturday morning.
Paul Driver’s side lost their 22-match unbeaten record in their last game of 2015, but in their first game of the new year, the Hatters secured a crucial win thanks to a first half goal from leading goalscorer Freddie Hinds.
The striker headed home Kavan Cotter’s corner three minutes before the break and that was enough for the Town youngsters to cement their place at the top of Youth Alliance table.
“It was a typically competitive game against Orient,” Driver told lutontown.co.uk. “We managed the game better and took our chance.”
