Hatters aiming for another Orient victory

The Town Under-18s begin their campaign in the Southern Merit League when they take on Leyton Orient at Ely Way on Saturday morning.

Youth Team boss Paul Driver will pick a side made-up of scholars and under-16s for the game against the O’s in their first match in the Merit League after winning the South East championship.

The Town have already met Orient four times this season in the League, League Cup and FA Youth Cup. The Hatters have won three and won the other on penalties.

Driver told lutontown.co.uk: “The team will be a mixture of scholars who need game-time and under-16s who need match experience in the Merit League.

“This is the perfect opportunity for our younger players to get used to this level of football ahead of scholarships next year.

“Plus, those scholars who haven’t had enough minutes in the Youth Cup, can step-up their game-time.”

Kick-off at Ely Way is at 10.30am and we will have reaction and a report online on Saturday afternoon.

Good luck boys!
