Young midfielder with the Town until 2018
The Hatters are delighted to announce the extension of midfielder Cameron McGeehan’s contract until the summer of 2018.
The 20-year-old, who scored his 11th goal of the season in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Hartlepool, originally put pen to paper on a permanent deal this summer following two separate loan spells.
McGeehan won a Conference title winners’ medal with the Town in his first stint at Kenilworth Road in 2013/14, and has now featured 65 times in for the Hatters and scored 17 times.
And boss Nathan Jones was thrilled to be able to secure the services of the former Norwich youngster for another 12 months.
“We believe in Cameron, we believe he’s a fabulous young player,” Jones told lutontown.co.uk. “He’s fit, hungry and wants to do well and that type of return is fantastic for a midfield player.
“He’s had to play in a few different positions, which shows his quality.
“We’re delighted that he’s happy here, he’s a great player, one we really want to take forward for the future.”
