WATCH: NATHAN JONES POSITIVE AHEAD OF STANLEY

Manager Nathan Jones held his pre-match press conference over at the Ely Way training ground this lunchtime and was upbeat despite the disappointing result against Stevenage last week.

Talking about the team's performance in training he said "We've had a good week - they're an excellent group, they're really hard working but I don't know what happened on Saturday against Stevenage. We're taking every game as it comes, we don't want it to peter-out this season. We want to perform in front of our home fans and we're looking for as much positivity and as many positive results as we can."

On the Hatters opposition this week Jones said "John Coleman has done a great job there. Accrington have an aura around them at the moment, they've done fantastically well and a it'll be a really difficult game for us." 

Following on from the young development side's success at Southend this week the manager expressed his desire to see young players improve and progress. "We're always looking at the youngsters, and to bringing them into the first team if they're good enough. I've done it before at Yeovil and they came in and went fantastically well.", he said. 

Injury-wise, Scott Cuthbert is being monitored ahead of the match, while Magnus Okuonghae is definitely out of the frame due to a knee operation. Nathan Doyle is training and is making good progress the boss reported.
