LAMP to benefit from dedicated match for Newport County AFC
This Saturday's match against Newport County AFC will have added significance as our dedicated match for Supporter's Charity of the Year - LAMP.Throughout the season, supporters and supporters groups have been working with LAMP to raise awareness and funds. On Saturday we will be hosting representatives from the Charity who will be fundraising through bucket collections around the ground.
LAMP is a local charity that looks after 16-25 year old young vulnerable people who through no fault of their own find themselves homeless and in need of support, love, encouragement and safe accommodation. The support from the local community, like that of Hatters supporters is vital to allow them to continue to support some of the most vulnerable young people within our community. But as the rented housing sector in Luton is becoming increasingly difficult due to soaring rent prices it is hard to find suitable properties at affordable rents.
LAMP have a launched a new ‘BUILD FOR THE FUTURE’ campaign to address this and raise funds to buy our first house to accommodate those who are in most need. All the proceeds that we raise with Luton Town Supporters will help them towards achieving this goal.
There are some fantastic events coming up - so why not get involved and help LAMP help some of the most vulnerable people in our locality.
