Hinds and Snelus on target for the Town
Luton Town u18s met Plymouth Argyle U18s at Ely Way this afternoon, with the Town coming away with a 2 -1 victory. Both goals came in the first half during which Luton looked by far the better side.
The first from came Freddie Hinds on 31' and the second shortly after from Jack Snelus on 40'.
Plymouth came out with more wind in their sails in the second half and looked more threatening than in the first. But despite coming back with a goal of their own Luton weathered the storm and were deserved winners.
U18s manager Paul Driver said "Overall we played some excellent attacking stuff in the first half and really deserved the goals. To be fair there could have been more. But credit to Plymouth, they tried to make it hard for us in the second half, but I was pleased by how well the team coped under a bit more pressure."
Luton lined up as follows:
Gooch, Bean, McJannet, Brown, Murray, Jones, Famewo, Snelus, Cotter, Atkinson, Hinds
