Ankle knock could rule out defender of Dons clash
The Town could be without centre-half Scott Cuthbert for Saturday’s game against AFC Wimbledon despite the defender’s return from suspension.
The 28-year-old sat out last weekend’s 1-0 win over Mansfield after his last-minute red card at Notts County but he has an ankle problem which will be assessed ahead of the clash with the Dons at Kenilworth Road.
Elsewhere, the Town call upon the services of midfielder Luke Guttridge after a slight hamstring injury kept him out of the Mansfield victory.
Paul Benson, Dan Potts, Nathan Doyle and Magnus Okuonghae all featured for the development squad in their 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday, but Benson and Doyle will definitely not be risked for the meeting with the Dons’ senior side.
Potts, however, may be in contention for a start if Scott Griffiths is unavailable. Griffiths’ partner is due to give birth any time now.
Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu has trained this week but is unlikely to be involved as he continues his recovery from a niggling back problem.
