Striker aiming to shake off hamstring problem
Boss John Still says the Town will monitor the fitness of Craig Mackail-Smith ahead of Saturday's home game with York City. The striker came off in the first half of last weekend's win at Hartlepool with a slight hamstring problem and could be available for the meeting with the Minstermen as the Hatters aim for a fifth straight league win.
Paddy McCourt is away on international duty with Northern Ireland so the midfielder is definitely unavailable - as is striker Paul Benson who has had an injection to help cure a neck injury.
Meanwhile right-back Stephen O'Donnell has been suffering with an ankle problem and is unlikely to feature against Russ Wilcox's City.
At his Thursday press call the manager reiterated his pleasure at seeing a number of players get minutes under their belts in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Gillingham.
"It will give us plenty of options now," said Still. "Competition is getting stronger every week."
Defenders Dan Potts and Magnus Okuonghae both completed 90 minutes and are in contention for a place in the squad, as is Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu who played a full game for the development squad against Southend on Tuesday.
