Centre-half heads to the North East for a month

Town defender Magnus Okuonghae has joined fellow League 2 side Hartlepool United on a month’s loan.

The 29-year-old centre-half joined the Hatters this summer following his release from Colchester and made his Town debut as a second-half substitute in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win over Leyton Orient in September.

The loan deal runs up to and including 15th November, and Magnus has joined in time to be included in Ronnie Moore’s squad for the Pools’ game at Dagenham & Redbridge this afternoon.

Town boss John Still told lutontown.co.uk: “Magnus now needs game time having got his fitness levels up since arriving – and a month in League 2 with Ronnie will do him the power of good.

“Magnus has already shown us his qualities in the short time he’s been here – all he needs now is some competitive minutes under his belt.”

Good luck Magnus!
