Marriott and Cuthbert look ahead to Pilgrims challenge
Two duo Jack Marriott and Scott Cuthbert are both relishing Saturday’s game with table-toppers Plymouth Argyle.
The Hatters are aiming to end a three-game winless streak with victory against the Pilgrims and current captain Cuthbert is envisaging a cracker at the Kenny.
“You’d rather play the top teams - they’re there for the taking in my opinion,” the defender told Hatters Player.
“They’ll come here full of confidence, but on our day we’re a good enough team for anyone and I’m confident we can get a result.
“It’s nice having teams that come at you, as opposed to teams who sit back and make it difficult for us and hopefully it can make for a better game while we’ll look to get a few goals while keeping a clean sheet to get that win.”
Marriott, who scored his seventh goal of the season in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Orient, added: “We’ll welcome them with open arms. I think it’s good to have three games in a week, we’ll get to bounce back quickly and we’ll look forward to it.
“The fact that we’ve come away with a point after the disappointing second half performance against Crawley is a step in the right direction, even if we do want to be winning these games as the home team.”
