More goals on the road for the Hatters
The stats you need to know after the Town's fourth away win of the season on Sunday.
18 – In what was their eighth League 2 away game of the season, the Town’s two goals at Dagenham were their 17th and 18th goals away from home this term. Last season, in the 23 away games, the Hatters managed just 17.
1 – The Town kept their first clean sheet away from home of the season and their first since a goalless draw away to Dagenham in April at the end of last season. With two goals the Hatters have now scored in all but one of their 20 matches in all competitions this season - the 1-0 home defeat to Bristol Rovers.
19 – Luke Guttridge scored his 19th goal for the Hatters in what was his 72nd appearance in Luton colours. It was only the fourth goal he has scored for the Town away from Kenilworth Road.
180 – Midfielder Alex Lawless made his first League start of the season at Victoria Road to make his 180th appearance for the Hatters. He also scored in his first League start last year in the 2-0 win over Southend.
50 – Cameron McGeehan came on as a late second half substitute in the victory for his 50th appearance for the club.
130 – The Hatters marked the anniversary weekend of the club’s first competitive match 130 years ago with their 2,108th win – their first ever in a League fixture away to Dagenham. Although the Town had won a League Cup tie at Victoria Road, they had previously drawn and lost on their previous visits for League fixtures.
13th – Having begun Sunday’s game in 18th place the Town shot up to 13th in the League 2 standings with three points. The result now leaves the Hatters now six points shy of the third automatic promotion place.
