Reaction from Saturday's cup triumph

Town boss John Still felt his side “played like Luton” on Saturday as his side came away from their FA Cup first round tie at Crawley with a 2-1 victory.

The Hatters got their name in the hat for Monday night’s draw thanks to Josh McQuoid’s double – with the forward’s winner coming in the final minute.

“We looked like Luton, played like Luton and moved the ball well,” said Still, "The thing that pleases me is that I want to win.

“We're 1-1 away from home in the cup and we're trying to win, that's what's important to me, to go to win.

“I'm not worried about losing if we try to win and we could have settled for 1-1, got people behind the ball, gone with one up front when Jack Marriott came off, but we didn't.

“We stayed as we were and we are going for the winner, we got the goal and we won.”

Still also praised McQuoid’s match-winning performance after the frontman notched his second and third goal in Town colours.

“I think Josh's form has improved and improved from when we started. He hadn't had a lot of football and I think people are seeing now that he is a good player,” said the boss.

“We had to have a chat. He has had to add goals to his game and I think he's got three in his last four games, so hopefully he can do that.

“He's got great feet. People don't realise that. He's very strong in possession when he's running and he can score goals. He's got to believe he can score goals.

“They were two different goals, which is pleasing. One was a goalscorer's goal and one, he's found a finish from a wide angle. It was terrific.”

McQuoid was also happy with his double. Watch the forward talk about his two goals in the video below. You can watch the full interview with Josh here on Hatters Player.
