Ground collection and auction raise thousands

We're proud to inform you that our Poppy Shirt auction in aid of the Royal British Legion, which closed on Wednesday, raised over £4,300! Along with the money raised in collections at Kenilworth Road for our match against Plymouth a few weeks ago, Hatters supporters have helped raise over £6,000 for the charity. A truly enormous figure.

Bidders who took part in the silent auction have now been contacted to inform them whether or not they've won a signed, match-worn shirt. On behalf of the Royal British Legion, we'd like to thank each and every person who supported through their donations and auction bids this year.

Bedfordshire Royal British Legion launched their annual Poppy Appeal at Kenilworth Road ahead of the home tie against Plymouth at the end of October. A planned parachute jump by The Red Devils Display Team onto the pitch was not able to go ahead due to weather conditions on the day. But the weather didn't prevent a fantastic display by local Scout and Cadet groups who unveiled a giant poppy made entirely from hand printed bed sheets on the centre circle. A minutes silence was then observed ahead of kick off.

Our charity partnerships this season continue with lots of work going on behind the scenes to help support our three official Charities. Find out more here:
