BRING YOUR FLAGS FOR BARNET

COME ON YOU HATTERS!

As part of our 130th year celebrations, we're inviting supporters to bring their flags, old and new, to our match against Barnet this Saturday. Over the years, the Club have been involved in many historic encounters - at home, away as well as at Wembley on several occasions - not to mention the countless flags that loyal supporters have produced to take to national team matches. So now's the time to pop up into the loft, dust off those old classics and give them another outing.

Honesty Flags
Special 'Honesty Flags' will be available ahead of the match from Happy Harry's Family Shed. Feel free to bring your children along to pick up a flag that they can wave during the match, then simply return them to the shed after the match. Hand held flags will also be available to purchase from the shop and from here to help volunteers on your way into the ground.

To make sure that everyone in the ground is safe, and are able to enjoy themselves, there are some regulations:

Permission
  • You don't need permission to bring a flag into the ground if it is no bigger than 4' x 3' in size. Handheld flags are generally fine as long as they aren't any bigger than 4' x 3'
  • With small, handheld flags, it's best if the handle is plastic or on fairly thin dowling (no broomhandles please!)
Fire Retardant
  • Flags that are larger than 4' x 3' have to be fire retardant. Before we can allow the flag into the ground, we'll need to see a valid fire safety certificate.
Suitability - IMPORTANT
  • The Club will not accept any flags that could be considered in any way abusive, overtly political, defamatory, enticing racial hatred or any other kind of discrimination.
We reserve the right to remove any flags that stewards or club officials consider to be inappropriate.
