Hatters knocked out at semi-final stage on spot-kicks
The Town development squad lost the chance to win a place in the final of the Bedfordshire Senior Cup after losing on penalties to Biggleswade Town on Wednesday night.A strong Hatters side including Fraser Franks, Alex Lacey, Alex Lawless, Luke Rooney, Alex Wall, Ross Lafayette and Paul Benson took on the Waders, themselves the holders of the competition.
Lafayette fired the Town in front only for the home side to equalise and take the tie to penalties.
Biggleswade scored all four of their penalties while Wall shot over and Charlie Smith saw his spot-kick saved to enable the home side to progress.
The Waders will meet Barton Rovers in the final at Kenilworth Road in May. Good luck to both clubs!
