MARRIOTT OFF THE MARK IN LUTON XI VICTORY

21 July 2015

New signing nets winner in win at Kettering

Summer signing Jack Marriott earned a Town XI a 2-1 victory away at Kettering on Tuesday night.

The former Ipswich striker restored the Hatters' lead after the hosts had cancelled out an earlier goal scored by Town trialist, 20-year-old Omar Rowe, once of Southampton.

Marriott also hit the post and was denied on a number of occasions by the home goalkeeper as the young Town side impressed against the Southern Premier Poppies.

The Town also fielded trialists Nortei Nortey (ex-Chelsea) and Courtney Cameron (most recently at Torquay).

On Wednesday the Hatters head to Thurrock for their next friendly, kick-off 7.45pm at Ship Lane.

Hatters XI: Gooch, Nortey, Abrahams (sub Famewo), Trotman (sub Murray 46), Musonda (sub Barker), Parry, Rowe (sub McGhan-George), Banton, Marriott (sub Vi Mira), Robinson, Cameron.
